After growing up in India, Dr. Hirapara completed his medical school at Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research. Before coming to the States, he continued his clinical experience in managing critically ill patients at the tertiary care center.
Dr. Hirapara completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he completed a Psychiatry residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey, in 2020, where he also served as a Chief resident during his last year. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a sub-specialization in Pain management.
Given his expertise in a multidisciplinary approach in managing complex chronic pain patients along with management of underlying psychological issues associated with chronic pain, he is an excellent addition to our Redefine Healthcare team. Chronic pain has often linked to psychological and emotional distress, affecting hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. By integrating behavioral health approach into our practice, Redefine Healthcare aims to heal the mind and body – not just the pain.
